Years of annoying people at parties, screaming for “Goodmorning Captain” and heckling wannabe postrock bands finally pays off. Slint are coming to Belgium on the 23th of May 2007 in Brussel (AB).  And – cough – they will perform Spiderland from start to finish. There are plenty of support acts for this mini-festival. De portables will perform their legendary casette “Zon-i-bos”. Wio will go through his solo debute tape “W10 1994-1995” and Ed Nolbed will perform the legendary “Ajjenol” from start (the epic “Tree House”) to finish (the post-satanic krautfolk of “We could have some fun”).

What’s wrong with bands playing full albums in exact order? For years Pink Floyd (who invented this trick) was being mocked for hippie-music for losers and now a) everyone is playing hippiemusic and b) in the exact same order as their original record. Could someone please explain.

PS: Built to spill is playing two days later at Trix and hopefully they will perform “Ultimate Alternative Wavers”  from “The First Song” to “Built To Long”.
