Great! Looks and sounds like a gimmick at first glance, but it’s really great stuff (like all of Rob Crow’s work). The first thing that comes to mind: the idea could have been the Portables’ (kindred spirits, I guess, huh).
Stoffel, you’re right, there is a certain de portables feel to it, rob crow has always been a big inspiration I think. The album is defenitely a must-buy, Rob Crow has always been flirting with metal and hardrock and it seems finally he has found a way to mangle his hardrock fetish with his extreme pop sensibility. It would be great to have this at the Kraak festival
. I actually think that despite their name Goblin Cock will headline Rock Werchter in 2 years but this might be the Duvel backlash from yesterday speaking instead of a rational, well-overthought opinion.
