FRIDAY 6th of July DE PORTABLES (B) Regular visitors of Farmfest should't be introduced to De Portables once again. They have been a constant factor throughout the years, and whoever remembers their hilarious appearance last year as hard rock outfit Mühle knows that these guys are always in for a bit of fun. They recently celebrated their 10 year anniversary and are on the brink of releasing a brand new album called T.I.M, of which you can get an exclusive sneak preview on this year's Farmfest. They're also planning to get very, very drunk. What a surprise. PARTY with DJ's M!CH & Rock4 Traditions never change, we told you last year. This year though, they do. Rock4 and M!CH this time on Friday night, because they do love to see those Portables guys bang their heads to a Slint record. SATURDAY 7th of July SALVADOR (B) The newest rising star in the K-Town music scene. Salvador has been playing for about a year and half and have grown constantly since their first gig. Expect postrockish instrumental tunes in the vein of Red Sparowes and Explosions In The Sky, but with a hard rocking twist. HELLVETE (B) Out of the deep dark woods of Maldegem comes Hellvete, armed with a guitar and playing haunting ghost chants that will send the shivers down the cows' spines. Could there ever be a more fitting surrounding than the Moloko Farm for this kind of funeral folk drones ? Me thinks not. INTERLUDE (ESP) All the way from Zaragoza, Spain comes Interlude, an emo/hardcore outfit that will certainly try to equal the intensity of big influences At The Drive-In and Fugazi. Don’t come nagging at our ears if you miss them, see them first at Farmfest! ULTRA DOLPHINS (USA) We’re extremely honoured to have Ultra Dolphins at our little fest. They are a trio from Virginia in the US, and play the sort of frantic and chaotic loud but sometimes very danceable rock that will certainly set your pants on fire. TOMAN (B) Isn't it ironic. This band comes out of Lo-Reninge, has witnessed the rise and fall of De Portables according to the highly acclaimed documentary 'Now Here We Stand', and has taken over world hegemony. That is because Toman has grown from a common post rock band to a hard rocking and monstrous loud animal. If you think this will be quiet and soft, think again and get those earplugs! PART CHIMP (UK) And you might as well keep your earplugs in for the loudest band in rock history: Part Chimp! Probably the 'biggest' band ever to play on Farmfest, but they are just all over nice guys that like a beer and rock out on stage. Relentless guitar grooves and pounding drums, a nice and loud finale to this edition of Farmfest. On Mogwai's Rock Action Records!
